Canine Therapies is pleased to offer a dog treadmill facility at my clinic in Shropshire.
Use of the Fit-
Rehabilitation and Weight Control
Walking on a treadmill provides low impact, weight bearing exercise which acts to reduce muscle wastage and rebuild muscle, thus aiding an effective and speedy recovery following injury or surgery and helping your dog regain maximum use of his limbs.
In addition to correct diet, proper exercise will help achieve a healthy weight loss and aid in the maintenance of correct body weight thereby promoting a long and active life.
Working in partnership with your vet, I can ensure your dog receives the most appropriate treadmill regime.
Fitness & Show Training
Regular training on the dog treadmill will improve stamina and flexibility giving your dog a competitive edge in a whole range of canine activities. The steady exercise will help your dog develop a strong, even stride improving his gait in the show ring.
My dogs enjoy using the treadmill as they stride out with lashing tails, really appreciating the extra activity this provides in addition to their regular outdoor runs.
